Spooky Wednesday

P2/3 had Forest School this morning on a crisp but bright day and they brought some of the activities back to the class. Quite a few tried making their own “potions” and “spells” and the woodland crafted broomstick was a hit inside too.
In the afternoon they had a look at the fantastical illustrations and characters created by Tim Burton and had a go at designing their own Hallowe’en mayor.

Big Maths

For the start of 2020, P2/3 shall be learning about area using standard and non standard units of measure. Today they used handprints to measure the surface area of their desks, books, boxes and other items and then they used counters to measure the surface of various paper shapes.

Today P2/3 had a special visitor at their gym slot: a real football coach! He was fantastic with them And they thoroughly enjoyed their hour of football skills and games. Just ask your child about  Jimmy, Jimette and Jeff ....
